Brian Jinks is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in advising companies in the energy infrastructure sector. Mr. Jinks has over 21 years of investment banking experience and has advised on the origination and execution of a full spectrum of transactions in the energy infrastructure and MLP sectors, including strategic advisory, M&A and capital raises. Previously, Mr. Jinks was Managing Director at Deutsche Bank where he led the midstream and MLP coverage efforts. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he spent seven years at Lazard and Credit Suisse as a member of their respective Energy Investment Banking teams.

Mr. Jinks holds a B.A. in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. with honors from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin.

Ms. Jowett has more than 20 years of HR experience, having served as a strategic partner to buy-side and sell-side businesses at financial institutions and law firms across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Moelis, she spent 12 years at UBS in Human Resources leadership roles across the Investment Bank and Asset Management divisions, where she drove the strategy and implementation of the firm’s human capital agenda for Banking, Global Investments and O’Connor businesses. Previously, Ms. Jowett has also held HR roles at Corrs Chambers Westgarth Lawyers and Goldman Sachs JBWere.

Steven Katz is a Managing Director at Moelis Australia. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mr. Katz was Managing Director and Head of Financial Sponsor Advisory (Australia) at CIMB Group. Prior to that, Mr. Katz was a Director at RBS in the investment banking group and a Director at ABN AMRO.

Peter Kerckhoffs is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in providing financial and strategic advice to clients in the Netherlands and across Europe. Mr. Kerckhoffs has nearly three decades of investment banking and corporate finance experience. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mr. Kerckhoffs held various senior roles at J.P. Morgan. Most recently, he was the Senior Country Officer for the Netherlands and prior to this role, he was the Head of Benelux and Nordic M&A.

Jerome H. (Jerry) Kern is a Senior Advisor at Moelis & Company where he focuses on advising clients based in Colorado and in the media and telecommunications sectors. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mr. Kern served as President of Kern Consulting, LLC and was a Senior Advisor to Guggenheim. Previously, Mr. Kern was a Senior Advisor to Nomura Securities International in their America’s Investment Banking Division. He served as interim Chairman and CEO of Playboy Enterprises, Inc.; was the Managing Partner in Enki Strategic Advisors, worked as a consultant to the broadband and mobile industry from 2007-2009; and was the Chairman and CEO of On Command Corporation. Earlier on, Mr. Kern was Vice Chairman, member of the board of directors of Tele-Communications, Inc. (TCI) and was the principal outside legal counsel to TCI and Liberty Media for over 20 years. Prior to TCI, Mr. Kern was a Senior Partner at Baker & Botts, LLP, where he was the senior corporate lawyer in the New York office.

Mr. Kern holds a B.A from Columbia University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law. He is a member of the board of trustees of the New York University Law School Foundation, Volunteers of America (Colorado Chapter), the Institute for Children’s Mental Disorders and CEO & Chair of the Board of Trustees at Colorado Symphony Association.

Chris Kirsten is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he focuses on Private Funds Advisory. Mr. Kirsten has over 25 years of securities distribution and investment banking experience. Most recently, Mr. Kirsten was a Managing Director and Chairman of Greenhill’s Private Capital Advisory Group. Previously, he was a Managing Director and Global Head of Lehman Brothers’ Private Fund Marketing Group and prior was a Director in the Private Equity Finance Group at Deutsche Bank.  Mr. Kirsten’s private equity experience involved helping source, position and raise numerous buyout, venture, growth and real estate funds for financial sponsors. Mr. Kirsten began his career in institutional fixed income sales and management at Nomura and Citicorp. He also serves on the Board of Directors of The Jazz Gallery in New York City.

Mr. Kirsten holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and also serves as a Columbia Business School Private Equity Program mentor.

His expertise includes IPOs, follow-ons, convertibles, 144A offerings, venture capital, growth and acquisition financings, limited partnerships and royalty financings. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mr. Lai was a Managing Director and Head of Private Placements at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. There he oversaw a leading and diversified private capital advisory platform where he originated, structured and executed a wide variety of privately negotiated equity, mezzanine, structured securities and illiquid portfolio monetization transactions. Prior to that, he worked at Merrill Lynch in the Private Funds Placement Group and at Salomon Brothers as an investment banking associate in the Natural Resources Group. Mr. Lai began his career as an analyst in Deloitte & Touche’s Restructuring Advisory Services practice.

Mr. Lai holds an A.B. from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
