Mark Aedy is a Managing Director and Head of Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Investment Banking at Moelis & Company. Mark has extensive experience building and managing investment banking franchises and played an instrumental role in expanding the Firm’s presence in key markets outside the U.S. He has over 40 years of investment banking experience, advising clients across multiple jurisdictions globally on a broad range of advisory services including strategic mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mark was Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and a member of the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Executive Committee. Before that, Mark held several leadership roles at Merrill Lynch including Head of Investment Banking – Europe, Middle East and Africa, Head of Metals & Mining and Head of General Industrials.
Mark holds a B.A. (Honours) from Durham University. He also serves as Senior Independent Director of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a Trustee of The HALO Trust, a Non-Executive Director of British Land PLC and a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University.
Lord Charles Allen, Baron Allen of Kensington, CBE is the Chairman of Balfour Beatty Plc, the leading international infrastructure company, Chairman of Global Media & Entertainment Group, the largest commercial radio, digital and outdoor group in the United Kingdom with operations in The Netherlands, Spain and Ireland. Lord Allen also serves as an independent non-executive chair of THG (previously known as The Hut Group), a premier e-commerce retailer headquartered in Manchester, England and operating over 100 international websites.
From 2008 to May 2015, Lord Allen served as a Senior Advisor to Goldman Sachs, advising the firm’s private equity portfolio and banking business. He has been a non-executive director at Tesco Plc, Virgin Media Group, executive chairman of EMI Music and chairman of ISS AS and chairman of 2 Sisters Food Group. Throughout his career, Lord Allen has also held Chief Executive Officer positions at Compass Group PLC and ITV PLC.
Lord Allen was involved with the London Olympic and Paralympic Games – serving as Vice Chairman of the London 2012 bid and on the board of the London Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. He is also chair of the Invictus Games. He was the Chief Advisor to the UK Home Office, providing advice and support to the Home Secretary and the Home Office Board on various matters. He sits on the House of Lords Select Committee for Industry and Regulators.
Stephen Aulsebrook is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in Capital Structure Advisory transactions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Stephen has over 40 years of European investment banking experience with an extensive network of relationships in EMEA, the U.S. and Asia across leading corporations, banks, hedge funds, other debt and equity funds, and private equity investors.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Stephen was the CEO and Head of Restructuring at Close Brothers Corporate Finance and DC Advisory. Stephen also worked at Hill Samuel and Bankers Trust.
Stephen holds an LLB in Law from the University of Leeds and qualified as a Barrister at the Inns of Court School of Law. He was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple and attended the Corporate Finance Program at the London Business School.
Geoffrey Austin is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in advising clients in the media and communications sector. Geoffrey has over 25 years of investment banking experience advising corporate and financial sponsor clients on many of the most significant transactions in the sector, including M&A, leveraged buyout, restructuring and debt and equity transactions.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Geoffrey was a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Media and Communications Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank. In this role, he was responsible for a top-ranked global team focused on advising companies in the sector as well as on related coverage of financial sponsors. Previously he worked at Hambros Bank.
Geoffrey holds an M.A. from Oriel College, Oxford University and attended the Corporate Finance Programme at London Business School. He is an Honorary Fellow of Oriel College, a member of the Oriel Campaign Board, a member of the Childline Board of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC), and a Trustee of the Eden Project.
Kristian Bagger is a Senior Advisor at Moelis & Company. Kristian joined Moelis & Company in 2008 after a 20-year career at Deutsche Bank, most recently as a Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Investment Banking and previously as Head of Nordic & BeNeLux Investment Banking and Head of the Industrials, Consumer and Healthcare Industry Groups. While at Deutsche Bank, Kristian built leading franchises in the Nordic and BeNeLux regions and served on Deutsche Bank’s European Investment Banking Management Committee. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Kristian was an investment banker at Smith Barney. Over the years, Kristian has advised clients in a variety of industries on the full spectrum of corporate finance matters, specializing in mergers & acquisitions.
Kristian holds a M.Sc. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
Liam Beere is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in M&A advisory. Liam is responsible for M&A deal origination in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and provides strategic advice to clients across industries globally. He has over 30 years of investment banking experience, having advised companies on a wide variety of complex transactions including domestic and cross-border M&A, demergers, joint ventures, corporate restructurings and private side divestments.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Liam was a Managing Director and Global Head of M&A at UBS Investment Bank. He began his investment banking career at SG Warburg, which was later acquired by UBS. Liam holds a B.Sc. from Warwick University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Marcel Brouwer is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in Capital Structure Advisory across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Marcel has over 15 years of investment banking experience, advising companies, sponsors and a variety of creditor groups on restructurings, recapitalizations, financings, M&A and other financial advisory transactions across a broad range of industries.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Marcel was a member of the Restructuring Advisory and Distressed Financing team in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division. He began his career at Lazard in the Financial Advisory Group.
Marcel holds an M.B.A. from HEC Paris and a M.Sc. in Business Administration (Finance & Investments) from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
Rohan Choudhary is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in capital structure advisory across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). Rohan has extensive investment banking and corporate finance experience across Europe and the Middle East, advising companies, sponsors, sovereigns and a variety of creditor groups on restructurings, recapitalizations, financings and other strategic advisory transactions.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Rohan was an Assistant Director at PwC in the Debt Advisory & Restructuring Group. Rohan holds a M.Sc. in Accounting & Finance from the University of Manchester and a B.Comm with Honors from Delhi University.
Pablo de la Infiesta is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company and Head of the Private Funds Advisory (PFA) group in EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa). Pablo has over 20 years of private equity fund placement, secondary advisory and investment banking experience.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, he was a Managing Director and European Head of the Private Capital Advisory group at Lazard, focusing on fund placement and secondary advisory. Before that, Pablo worked at Campbell Lutyens & Co in London and began his career at Salomon Brothers.
Pablo holds a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas and an M.B.A. from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Philippe Gallone is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in advising clients across the healthcare sector. Philippe has over 15 years of investment banking experience, having advised on more than $200 billion worth of M&A transactions in that time.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Philippe was a Managing Director and Co-Head of EMEA Healthcare Banking at Morgan Stanley. He began his investment banking career at Credit Suisse First Boston.
Philippe is a physician by training and received his medical degree from the University of Lausanne. He also holds an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.
Abhinav Gattani is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he advises clients in the technology sector on corporate finance matters. Abhinav has extensive investment banking experience and has completed numerous high profile transactions, including M&A, equity and debt financings, and leveraged buyouts. During his career, Abhinav has advised a broad spectrum of marquee technology and non-technology clients globally, focusing on digitization, software, services, networking, digital media and internet sectors.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Abhinav worked in Global Technology Investment Banking at Citigroup and also at Goldman Sachs. He was also formerly a Senior Manager at Oracle Corporation where he focused on business development, strategy and product management.
Abhinav holds a Bachelor of Engineering with honors from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) and an M.B.A. from The Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Robert Glauerdt is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he is part of the Global Financial Institutions Group covering alternative and traditional asset management, wealth management, fund and pension administration, securities, specialty finance and financial technology companies on strategic alternatives including M&A and public listings. Robert has more than 20 years of investment banking and management consulting experience in Europe and the U.S.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Robert was a Partner and Managing Director at Berkshire Global Advisers. Before that, he worked in the Global Financial Institutions Group at UBS Investment Bank in London and New York, advising asset management clients and private banks on corporate finance and M&A transactions.
Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree and an M.B.A. in finance and economics from Passau University along with a Master’s degree in International Finance and Business from Columbia University.
Rick Haythornthwaite is an Advisory Partner at Moelis & Company where he specializes in advising companies across the energy, industrial, and technology sectors. Rick has nearly 40 years of executive and non-executive experience, and has led numerous companies through mergers, acquisitions, and other complex transactions at nearly every stage of the business life cycle.
He began his career at BP PLC, having held various executive roles throughout his 17-year tenure, including Chief Geologist at BP France, General Manager of Magnus Oilfield and President of BP Venezuela. Following his work at BP, Rick continued to build leadership experience in the energy and industrials sectors as Corporate and Commercial Director of Premier Oil PLC for two years and four years at Blue Circle Industries, latterly as CEO until its merger with Lafarge in 2001. He went on to serve as CEO of Invensys PLC between 2001 and 2005 and most recently as a Partner at Star Capital Partners Ltd.
Rick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from The Queen’s College at Oxford and a Master’s degree in Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. He currently serves as the Chairman of MasterCard Inc., Chairman of Centrica PLC, and Chairman and Founder of QiO Technologies Ltd.
Mads Jessen is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in advising clients across the healthcare sector with a focus on pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical technology and life sciences tools companies. Mads has over 15 years of investment banking experience, advising clients on a broad range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts and capital raising solutions, as well as advising boards of directors and special committees.
Mads began his investment banking career at Credit Suisse First Boston. He holds a BSc. in International Business from Copenhagen Business School.
Wouter Leemhuis is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in advising clients in the energy sector and Benelux market. Wouter has over 17 years of investment banking experience.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Wouter held positions at Nomura and Lehman Brothers, covering the Natural Resources sector and Benelux and Middle-Eastern markets in London, Amsterdam and Dubai.
