Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mr. Hall was a Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Retail and Consumer Group, where he spent 15 years. He has also held roles at Salomon Smith Barney and First of Michigan.

Mr. Hall holds a B.A. from St. Lawrence University and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Steven Halperin

Steven Halperin is a Managing Director and Head of Equity Public Markets at Moelis & Company, focusing on the Firm’s public and private market origination and distribution capabilities. Mr. Halperin has 21 years of investment banking experience, most recently as Americas Head of Equity-Linked & Hybrid Solutions at Barclays. Prior to that role, he was Co-Head of EMEA Equity Capital Markets after leading EMEA Equity-Linked Origination. Mr. Halperin began his career at Lehman Brothers having worked in various capital markets roles. During his career, Mr. Halperin has originated, structured, and executed over one hundred convertible capital raises and equity derivative transactions as well as dozens of subordinated debt, preferred, and equity capital issuances across two regions.

Mr. Halperin holds a B.S.M in Economics and Finance from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Rich Harding is a Managing Director and Head of the US Private Equity Solutions Group at Moelis & Company where he advises financial sponsors, private asset managers, and family offices and their founders on portfolio optimization. Additionally, Mr. Harding leads the Firm’s Healthcare Services team and has extensive experience originating and executing a wide variety of corporate finance transactions in the healthcare sector including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and other equity and debt transactions. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, he was an investment banker at Citigroup in the Global Healthcare Group where he advised healthcare services clients.

Mr. Harding received a B.A. in Economics and Government from Connecticut College and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan.

Rick Haythornthwaite is an Advisory Partner at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in advising companies across the energy, industrial, and technology sectors. Mr. Haythornthwaite has nearly 40 years of executive and non-executive experience, and has led numerous companies through mergers, acquisitions, and other complex transactions at nearly every stage of the business life cycle. He began his career at BP PLC, having held various executive roles throughout his 17-year tenure, including Chief Geologist at BP France, General Manager of Magnus Oilfield and President of BP Venezuela.  Following his work at BP, Mr. Haythornthwaite continued to build leadership experience in the energy and industrials sectors as Corporate and Commercial Director of Premier Oil PLC for two years and four years at Blue Circle Industries, latterly as CEO until its merger with Lafarge in 2001. He went on to serve as CEO of Invensys PLC between 2001 and 2005 and most recently as a Partner at Star Capital Partners Ltd.

Mr. Haythornthwaite holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from The Queen’s College at Oxford and a Master’s degree in Management from the Sloan School of Management at MIT. He currently serves as the Chairman of MasterCard Inc., Chairman of Centrica PLC, and Chairman and Founder of QiO Technologies Ltd.

Mark W. Henkels

Mark Henkels is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company. Mr. Henkels has over 25 years of investment banking experience. Before joining Moelis, he was Head of the Industrial Growth and Services Group at CIBC World Markets. While at CIBC, Mr. Henkels built one of Wall Street’s leading industrial banking franchises in metals and mining, capital goods, chemicals, aerospace and defense and building products. Prior to CIBC, Mr. Henkels led the Global Basic Industries franchises at Merrill Lynch focusing on the steel and aluminum, capital goods and building products sectors. Previous investment banking experience also included tenures at Salomon Brothers’ and Smith Barney.

Mr. Henkels has a B.A. in Accounting from Creighton University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Professor Dr. Herbert Henzler was Chairman of the Advisory Board of Credit Suisse Germany and Senior Advisor to the Chairman of Credit Suisse Group from 2002 – 2012. He is currently director emeritus at McKinsey and has been a member of the office of the Managing Director of McKinsey since 1994. Prof. Dr. Henzler joined McKinsey in 1970, was promoted to principal in 1975 and to director in 1978. He also served as Chairman of McKinsey Germany for 14 years and as Chairman of McKinsey Europe for three years. Prof. Dr. Henzler has been a lecturer in International Management at the University of Munich for 25 years, an honorary professor of Strategy and Organization and member of the faculty of business administration since 1992. He is also a visiting professor of Skolkovo Moscow Business School. Prof. Dr. Henzler also chaired the Wissenschaftlich-Technischen Beirat from 2004 – 2009 and served as chairman of the Zukunftsrat (Counsel on the future of society) of the Bavarian Government from 2009 – 2012. Prof. Dr. Henzler currently serves on the advisory boards of Deutsche Bahn, New Silk Route and FC Bayern München. Previously he served on the advisory boards of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hochtief, Siemag and Mainstream Renewable.

Duncan Herrington is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in advising corporates on preparing for and responding to contested situations, including shareholder activism. Mr. Herrington has over 10 years of investment banking experience, primarily in the activism and contested situations space. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mr. Herrington worked at Raymond James where he was a Managing Director and Head of the Activism Response & Contested Situations Group. Prior to Raymond James, he served in Credit Suisse’s contested situations practice, where he was responsible for advising both domestic and international clients on shareholder activism, takeover defense, contested M&A transactions and corporate governance matters. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Herrington was an M&A lawyer based in the London office of Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, where he specialized in structuring and executing cross-border transactions.

Mr. Herrington graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics from Rhodes College, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and an M.B.A from London Business School. He is also a CFA charterholder and a member of the State Bar of California.

Amelia Hill is a Managing Director at Moelis Australia. Ms. Hill advised clients on capital raising transactions and mergers and acquisitions at UBS Investment Bank for 10 years prior to joining Moelis & Company and most recently led UBS’s Equity Origination efforts across emerging companies and the firm’s Alternative Capital Group in Australia.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Hoit was a Managing Director at SG Cowen, a division of Société Générale, and previously a Managing Director and Partner at Gleacher & Co. Mr. Hoit began his career at PaineWebber Incorporated.

Martin Houston is an Advisory Partner and Chairman of the Global Energy Group at Moelis & Company. Mr. Houston has nearly 40 years of experience managing all forms of enterprise across the energy industry. He began his career in 1979 with Baker Hughes and in 1983 joined BG Group and remained with the company until 2014, when he retired as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the company’s board of directors. Since his retirement, he most recently co-founded Tellurian Inc., a company building a low-cost natural gas business, where he currently serves as Vice Chairman. In addition to advising Moelis & Company, Mr. Houston is a Vice Chairman of Hakluyt North America, a subsidiary of the UK-based strategic advisor to multinationals and financial institutions; a Non-Executive Director of CCC Energy, a private oil E&P company; and a Non-Executive Director at BUPA, the international healthcare group.

Mr. Houston holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Newcastle University and a Master’s degree in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College London. He serves as an advisory board member of the Global Energy Policy unit at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, a council member of the National Petroleum Council of the United States of America, and a Fellow of the Geological Society of London.
