Professor Dr. Herbert Henzler was Chairman of the Advisory Board of Credit Suisse Germany and Senior Advisor to the Chairman of Credit Suisse Group from 2002 – 2012. He is currently director emeritus at McKinsey and has been a member of the office of the Managing Director of McKinsey since 1994. Prof. Dr. Henzler joined McKinsey in 1970, was promoted to principal in 1975 and to director in 1978. He also served as Chairman of McKinsey Germany for 14 years and as Chairman of McKinsey Europe for three years. Prof. Dr. Henzler has been a lecturer in International Management at the University of Munich for 25 years, an honorary professor of Strategy and Organization and member of the faculty of business administration since 1992. He is also a visiting professor of Skolkovo Moscow Business School. Prof. Dr. Henzler also chaired the Wissenschaftlich-Technischen Beirat from 2004 – 2009 and served as chairman of the Zukunftsrat (Counsel on the future of society) of the Bavarian Government from 2009 – 2012. Prof. Dr. Henzler currently serves on the advisory boards of Deutsche Bahn, New Silk Route and FC Bayern München. Previously he served on the advisory boards of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hochtief, Siemag and Mainstream Renewable.
Jan Caspar Hoffmann is a Managing Director and Head of M&A for German-Speaking Europe at Moelis & Company. Mr. Hoffmann has over 17 years of investment banking experience, and prior to Moelis & Company spent over four years at Société Générale in Frankfurt where he was Head of M&A for German-Speaking Europe and Co-Head of Corporate Finance for German-Speaking Europe. Mr. Hoffmann also worked at Merrill Lynch in Frankfurt and London for over 10 years, first as a banker and then as a Senior Principal and Director responsible for German business at Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity. Mr. Hoffmann has worked on a wide variety of corporate and private equity transactions including public takeovers and corporate carve-outs.
Mr. Hoffmann studied at the University of Cologne, the Business and Economics University of Vienna and at EAP (now ESCP) in Oxford, Madrid, Paris and Berlin and graduated with the Diplom Kaufmann and the Diplome Grande Ecole de Gestion. He currently holds a lectureship in Corporate Finance at the Institute for Law and Finance at Goethe University Frankfurt and the University of Cologne.
Stefan Müller is a Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Moelis & Company. Mr. Müller has over 20 years of investment banking experience and has advised companies across all sectors on a broad range of products, including strategic advisory, M&A, and capital raises. Previously, Mr. Müller was Co-Head of Investment Banking for Germany, Austria and Switzerland at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He joined BAML in 2000, working on M&A mandates in the German-language region, and later held roles as Managing Director and Co-Head of Investment Banking for Germany & Austria. Prior to that, Mr. Müller spent six years at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in the Firm’s London and Frankfurt offices.
Mr. Müller studied at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, the Paris Business School, Thunderbird University in Phoenix and graduated with a Diplom-Kaufmann and a Diplom-Betriebswirt. He speaks six languages including German, English, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
