Carlos Jimenez is a Managing Director and Global Head of Media, Sports, and Entertainment at Moelis & Company. Carlos has over 20 years of investment banking experience and has been instrumental in building the firm’s Media, Sports, and Entertainment franchise, with extensive experience within the Hollywood and music ecosystems, as well as across sports, live events, gaming, digital media, technology, and various adjacent sectors. He has completed numerous high-profile M&A transactions, debt and equity financings, IPOs, leveraged buyouts and restructurings.

Carlos is perennially recognized as a top dealmaker by Variety and the Hollywood Reporter, and is also a member of the Variety500, an index of the most influential business leaders shaping the global media landscape. Carlos is also on Billboard’s Power 100 list, an annual ranking of the music industry’s top executives, and in 2025, he was named to LA Times Banking & Finance Visionaries, which recognizes leaders in the financial sector. Prior to joining Moelis & Company in 2007, Carlos worked in the Leveraged Finance Group at Lehman Brothers. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
