James Nichols is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in providing strategic and financial advice to clients across the services sector. His industry expertise spans a range of sub-verticals including professional services, environmental and sustainability, design and engineering, TIC, distribution, and commercial services. James has extensive experience advising public and private companies as well as entrepreneurs across a wide range of M&A, equity capital markets, recapitalizations and other strategic advisory transactions.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, James was a Managing Director at DC Advisory where he co-led business and healthcare services in the U.K., having previously advised financial sponsor clients. Before that, he was a UK coverage banker at Credit Suisse and began his investment banking career at Investec. James holds a B.A. (Honours) in History and a M.A. (Distinction) in Finance Management, both from the University of Durham.
