Biography

Richard Orders is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in advising clients across the Asia-Pacific region. Richard has over 25 years of investment banking experience, with deep expertise in originating and executing multi-jurisdiction mandates across the full spectrum of corporate finance matters. Having advised clients on many notable and defining transactions in the region, Richard was instrumental in expanding the Firm’s presence in Asia Pacific.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Richard was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Asia Pacific Advisers (“APA”). Before that, he was a Managing Director in the RBS/ABN AMRO group in Asia Pacific and later served as Vice Chairman and Head of Global Clients Asia Pacific for ABN AMRO. Richard started his career at Barings Investment Bank, where he held several roles, including Managing Director and Head of Asia Investment Banking, in addition to working in the firm’s Australia and London offices. Richard holds a B.A. with Honours from the University of Oxford.
