Mark Aedy is a Managing Director and Chairman of EMEA & APAC at Moelis & Company. Mark has extensive experience building and managing investment banking franchises and played a leading role in expanding the Firm’s presence in key markets outside the U.S. He has over 45 years of investment banking experience, advising clients across multiple jurisdictions globally on a broad range of advisory services, including strategic mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mark was Head of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and a member of the firm’s Global Corporate and Investment Banking Executive Committee. Before that, Mark held several leadership roles at Merrill Lynch, including Head of Investment Banking in EMEA, Head of Metals & Mining, and Head of General Industrials.

Mark holds a B.A. with Honours from Durham University. He is a Non-Executive Director of British Land PLC and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford. He previously served as a Senior Independent Director of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust for seven years and as a Trustee of The HALO Trust, a global de-mining charity, for six years, where he remains an Ambassador.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Jason was Global Head of Tech Investment Banking and Co-Head of Investment Banking at SVB Securities, where he led the firm’s global technology coverage. Before that, Jason worked at UBS, where he served as Global Co-Head of Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Investment Banking. Earlier in his career, he was Global Co-Head of TMT Mergers and Acquisitions at Jefferies & Company.

Before that, Chris was Director of Corporate Reporting at Merrill Lynch and began his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University, an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Eric Cantor is the Vice Chairman of Moelis & Company and serves as a member of its Board of Directors. He advises clients on issues spanning the intersection of public policy and industry. Eric, who has more than 30 years of political and business experience, was formerly United States Representative from Virginia from 2000 to 2014. During his time in Congress, he served in leadership positions for 12 years and was elected U.S. House Majority Leader in 2010, during which time he led the public policy and legislative agendas. One of his many accomplishments as Majority Leader was the passage of the JOBS Act, which makes it easier for start-up and emerging growth companies to access capital. Eric is regularly featured in publications focusing on a wide range of topics, including both domestic and international matters.

Eric holds a B.A. from The George Washington University, a J.D. from The College of William and Mary, and an M.A. from Columbia University. He co-authored the New York Times bestselling book “Young Guns: A New Generation of Conservative Leaders.” Eric served as a member of the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Executive Council on Infrastructure and has been named a Visiting Fellow at Harvard University’s John F. Thane has worked in the investment banking industry for over 35 years, with a specialized focus on Capital Structure Advisory. He has extensive expertise in the distressed advisory sector, working with companies, corporate boards, creditor groups, sponsors, and corporate parents of troubled subsidiaries. Thane has structured and led numerous out-of-court transactions utilizing exchange offers, consent solicitations, and negotiations with lenders to secure bank amendments and waivers. His experience also includes distressed M&A, debt financing, and advising on matters that involve pre-packaged, pre-arranged, and unplanned Chapter 11 reorganizations.
