Hang Yuan
Managing DirectorHong Kong
Hang Yuan is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in advising corporate and financial sponsor clients on M&A transactions across the Asia-Pacific region. He has over 15 years of investment banking and private equity experience, with expertise in cross-border buyouts, privatizations, minority investments, as well as restructuring and financing transactions across a broad range of industries.
Before joining Moelis & Company, Hang was a Managing Director at SINO-CEE Fund, an affiliate of ICBC, where he led the fund’s cross-border investments in Europe. Prior to that, he spent a decade in investment banking roles, leading numerous landmark M&A transactions at Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific and Deutsche Bank. Hang holds an M.Phil. in Finance from the University of Cambridge and a B.Sc. from the University of Warwick.
Irene Zhang

Irene Zhang is a Managing Director and Global Head of Tax at Moelis & Company. Irene oversees the Firm’s global tax strategies and operations and is responsible for tax planning, reporting and compliance. Irene has over 20 years of experience as a senior tax advisor and strategic business partner to financial services firms and alternative asset management businesses.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Irene was with Ernst & Young’s M&A transaction tax practice where she advised private equity sponsors and corporate strategic investors on a variety of transactions, including M&A, divestitures, restructuring, fund formation, and cross-border planning. She began her career in Deloitte & Touche’s Private Client Advisor group where she advised asset management funds and their general partners on tax reporting and planning. Irene holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and both an M.S. in Taxation and a B.B.A. in Accounting from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
Xiuping Zhang

Xiuping Zhang is a Managing Director and Head of China at Moelis & Company. With nearly 30 years of investment banking experience, Xiuping specializes in advising Asian, European, and U.S. clients on cross-border mergers and acquisitions across a broad range of sectors.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Xiuping was a Managing Director and Head of Asia M&A at Merrill Lynch. Previously, she was a Managing Director and Head of China M&A at Deutsche Bank. She started her investment banking career at J.P. Morgan in New York. Xiuping holds a B.S. from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and an M.B.A. from Rollins College.
Xiaoying Zhong

Xiaoying Zhong is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where she specializes in advising clients across the software and internet sectors. Xiaoying has nearly 20 years of experience in the sector, having advised clients on a number of strategic and high-profile M&A transactions.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Xiaoying was a Senior Managing Director of Tech Investment Banking at SVB Securities. Prior to that, she spent ten years in the Corporate Advisory Business at Evercore focusing on the Information and Technology industries. Before Evercore, Xiaoying worked in the Technology Group at Jefferies and began her career as a systems software engineer at Analog Devices working on physical layer communications software for mobile phones. Xiaoying earned a B.S. in Instrumentation Engineering from Southeast University in China and an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
Elan Zivotofsky

Elan Zivotofsky is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in providing financial and strategic advice to technology clients. Elan has over 25 years of principle investing and investment banking experience, specializing in advising Israeli companies.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Elan served as Managing Director at Ibex Investors, where he led the funds’ growth-stage venture investments in Israel. Prior to that, he was a Founding Partner at OurCrowd, a Jerusalem-based investment platform. Before OurCrowd, Elan was Head of Technology investment banking at Lehman Brothers and previously worked at Goldman Sachs, both in Israel. He began his career at Morgan Stanley in New York. Elan holds a B.A. in History from the University of Pennsylvania.
Daniel Zweben

Daniel Zweben is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he helps lead the Firm’s efforts across the sports, sports-adjacent, and sports-related media sectors. Dan has extensive investment banking and corporate law experience, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raises, and restructurings and recapitalizations. His recent experience includes transactions advising leagues, teams, team owners, and institutional investors across major professional leagues in the U.S. and Europe.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Dan held roles at Lazard and UBS Investment Bank. He began his career as an M&A lawyer at Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher and Flom in New York City. Dan holds a B.S.M. in Finance and Economics from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
