Biography

James Nichols is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in providing strategic and financial advice to clients across the services sector. His industry expertise spans a range of sub-verticals, including professional services, environmental and sustainability, design and engineering, TIC, distribution, and commercial services. James has extensive experience advising public and private companies, as well as entrepreneurs, across a wide range of M&A, equity capital markets, recapitalizations, and other strategic advisory transactions.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, James was a Managing Director at DC Advisory, where he co-led business and healthcare services in the U.K., having previously advised financial sponsor clients. Before that, he was a U.K. coverage banker at Credit Suisse and began his investment banking career at Investec. James holds a B.A. with Honours in History and an M.A. with Distinction in Finance Management, both from Durham University.
