Geoffrey Austin is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in advising clients in the media and communications sector. Geoff has over 30 years of investment banking experience advising corporate and financial sponsor clients on many of the most significant transactions in the sector, including M&A, leveraged buyouts, restructurings, and debt and equity transactions.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Geoff was a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Media and Communications Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for a top-ranked global team focused on advising companies in the sector, as well as related coverage of financial sponsors. Previously, he worked at Hambros Bank. Geoff holds an M.A. from Oriel College at the University of Oxford and attended the Corporate Finance Programme at London Business School. He is an Honorary Fellow of Oriel College, a Trustee of the Eden Project, and a member of both the Oriel Campaign Board and the Childline Board of the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC).
Andrew Haber

Andrew Haber is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he focuses on M&A, restructurings, and other advisory services within the telecom, media, and technology sectors. He has advised clients on a wide variety of transactions, including domestic and international acquisitions (public and private), spin-offs/split-offs, leveraged buyouts, exclusive sales, joint ventures, highly contested transactions, and in-court and out-of-court restructurings with an aggregate value of over $100 billion.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Andrew was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns, where he was responsible for M&A coverage and execution in the Telecom, Media, and Technology Group. Before that, Andrew was a Management Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he advised clients across various industries in the United States, Mexico, and Brazil. Andrew graduated cum laude with a B.A. from the University of Michigan and holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Carlos Jimenez

Carlos Jimenez is a Managing Director and Global Head of Media, Sports, and Entertainment at Moelis & Company. Carlos has over 20 years of investment banking experience and has been instrumental in building the Firm’s Media, Sports & Entertainment franchise, with extensive experience within the Hollywood and music ecosystems, as well as across sports, live events, gaming, digital media, technology, and various adjacent sectors. He has completed numerous high-profile M&A transactions, debt and equity financings, IPOs, leveraged buyouts, and restructurings.
Carlos is perennially recognized as a top dealmaker by Variety and The Hollywood Reporter and is a member of the Variety500, an index of the most influential business leaders shaping the global media landscape. Carlos is also on Billboard’s Power 100 list, an annual ranking of the music industry’s top executives. In 2025 and 2026, he was named to the Los Angeles Times Banking & Finance Visionaries list, which recognizes leaders shaping the financial services industry. He was also recognized by Latinos in Sports as a Latino Power Player, honoring his remarkable success and influence in the sports industry. Prior to joining Moelis & Company in 2007, Carlos worked in the Leveraged Finance Group at Lehman Brothers. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Yale University.
Marcus Lollie

Marcus Lollie is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he provides strategic advice to clients in the media and entertainment sector with a focus on sports transactions. He has nearly 30 years of investment banking experience with expertise across a broad range of mandates.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Marcus was a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at the Canon Media Group, an operationally focused investment firm, where he developed and oversaw the media, tech, and entertainment practice. He previously was a Managing Director in the Private Fund Group (PFG) at Credit Suisse where he provided capital solutions to private equity and other alternative asset managers. Prior to PFG, he was a member of the Leveraged Finance and M&A Business Development Group at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ), responsible for advising private equity firms on sourcing transactions, financing acquisitions, and divesting portfolio companies. Marcus holds a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University, where he was a member of the university’s Division 1 Men’s Basketball team.
Navid Mahmoodzadegan

Navid Mahmoodzadegan is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Moelis & Company and serves on its Board of Directors. He previously served as Co-President of Moelis.
Navid has over 30 years of investment banking experience. Prior to Moelis & Company, he held leadership roles at UBS Investment Bank, including Global Head of Media Investment Banking. Navid was previously an investment banker at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and began his career as an attorney at Irell & Manella.
Navid holds an A.B. with Highest Distinction from the University of Michigan (Phi Beta Kappa) and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Partnership for New York City, the President’s Advisory Group at the University of Michigan, and the Taft School Board of Trustees. He previously served as Board Chair of the Carlthorp School Board of Trustees and the National Board of Directors of JumpStart.
John Momtazee

John Momtazee is a Co-Founder and Global Chairman of Media, Sports & Entertainment at Moelis & Company. He also leads the Global Blockchain Group. John has advised and financed many of the largest and most sophisticated media clients across the diversified media, blockchain technology, television, radio, newspapers, magazines, digital media, video games, entertainment, publishing, and outdoor advertising sectors and has worked extensively with leading financial sponsors.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, John was a Managing Director in the Global Media Group and Head of Broadcasting Investment Banking at UBS Investment Bank. Previously, John worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and served as Chief Financial Officer of The .TV Corporation. John was named one of “40 Under 40” by Investment Dealers’ Digest. He has also been recognized in the “Power 100” list by Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News and was named one of the top 50 M&A bankers in the Americas by the Global M&A Network.
John holds an A.B. in Quantitative Economics and a M.S. in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University and an M.B.A. and J.D., both with Honors, from the University of Chicago. John serves on the Board of Trustees of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute and the board of Village for Vets, a nonprofit that supports homeless veterans. He also serves as a member of the Board of Overseers of the Hoover Institution and the Southern California Advisors for Stanford University.
Daniel Zweben

Daniel Zweben is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he helps lead the Firm’s efforts across the sports, sports-adjacent, and sports-related media sectors. Dan has extensive investment banking and corporate law experience, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raises, and restructurings and recapitalizations. His recent experience includes transactions advising leagues, teams, team owners, and institutional investors across major professional leagues in the U.S. and Europe.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Dan held roles at Lazard and UBS Investment Bank. He began his career as an M&A lawyer at Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher and Flom in New York City. Dan holds a B.S.M. in Finance and Economics from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
