Sara Coyle
Managing DirectorChicago
Sara Coyle is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where she specializes in advising clients in the paper and packaging and distribution sectors. She has nearly 25 years of investment banking experience, with expertise in advising public and private companies spanning a broad spectrum of industries, including paper and packaging, distribution, chemicals, building products, and aerospace and defense. Sara has originated and executed a broad range of mandates throughout the corporate lifecycle and across disciplines, including M&A, equity and debt financing, and restructuring.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Sara was a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Paper & Packaging at Rothschild & Co. Before that, she was a Managing Director in the Global Industrials Group at UBS and previously worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Citi. Sara graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and holds an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management. She serves as a Director on the Boards of Wildpack Beverage and Tennis Esports.
Charles G. Denison

Charles Denison is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he advises clients primarily in the packaging, paper, and building products segments of the Industrials sector. Charlie has over 35 years of investment banking experience advising clients on M&A, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and debt and equity financings.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Charlie managed the Chicago office of Deutsche Bank and its predecessor, Bankers Trust, where he was responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment banking activities in the Midwest, as well as coordinating the strategies of the private wealth and asset management businesses. Charlie holds an A.B. in Economics and Government from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Chicago Youth Centers and Presbyterian Living. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Chicago Children’s Museum.
David P. Faris

David Faris is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Industrials, Americas at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in advising clients in the chemicals and materials sector. Dave has over 25 years of investment banking experience and has advised on a wide variety of domestic and international transactions, including M&A, debt and equity financings, restructurings, and leveraged buyouts.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Dave was a Managing Director in the Chemicals Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse. Before that, he worked at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, providing a broad range of investment banking services to chemical and other general industrial companies. Dave holds a B.A. from the University of Rochester and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mark was Head of the Industrial Growth and Services Group at CIBC World Markets, where he established one of Wall Street’s leading industrial banking franchises across the industrials sector. Prior to CIBC, he led the Global Basic Industries franchises at Merrill Lynch and worked at Salomon Brothers and Smith Barney. Mark holds a B.A. in Accounting from Creighton University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Matt Knott

Matt Knott is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he focuses on advising clients across the chemicals industry throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Matt has more than 20 years of investment banking experience advising corporate clients and private equity firms on a broad range of strategic transactions, including complex, industry-defining M&A assignments in the chemicals sector.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Matt spent more than two decades in Lazard’s Financial Advisory business, where he advised corporate and sponsor-backed clients across the chemicals sector. During his tenure, he completed a secondment with the U.K. Government and subsequently advised on a number of government-related assignments. Matt holds an LL.B. with Honours in Law from the University of Bristol.

Jeremy has extensive M&A experience, having worked with both regional and international clients on significant cross-border transactions with an Asia nexus, including Greater China, Korea, and Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Jeremy was Head of Metals & Mining for Asia at Credit Suisse, where he also held investment banking roles across the mining, industrials, and new energy sectors. Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

Patrick Loftus-Hills is a Senior Advisor at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in the metals and mining sector. Patrick has over 35 years of experience and has advised almost every major global mining company on a range of transactions, including cross-border M&A, capital raisings, and restructurings. Patrick has completed numerous significant financial advisory transactions for companies listed on major stock exchanges globally.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company in 2011 as a Managing Director, Patrick was Joint Head of the Asian Industrials Group and Head of Natural Resources at UBS in Hong Kong and held leadership roles in the UBS global mining team across multiple jurisdictions, including New York and Australia.
Patrick holds degrees in Law and Science from Monash University in Australia. He serves on the Board of Directors of Ivanhoe Electric and is a Managing Member of Sweetwater Royalties LLC, an Orion Resource Partners portfolio company. Patrick is also Chairman of the Monash University U.S. Leadership Council, Co-Chairman of the U.S. Friends of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, and Vice Chairman of the AUS USA Foundation.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Andrew was Head of EMEA Metals, Mining & Transition Materials at HSBC, where he focused on emerging markets linked to M&A and financings. Previously, Andrew spent nearly a decade at Credit Suisse, most recently serving as Head of EMEA Metals & Mining Investment Banking. Before that, he held roles at Standard Bank in Hong Kong and Ernst & Young in Australia. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and has qualified as a Chartered Accountant with CA ANZ.

Prior to Credit Suisse, Doug was a corporate attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York. Doug holds a B.S. in Psychology from Duke University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

He has advised both public and private companies on a broad range of transactions throughout the corporate lifecycle, including mergers and acquisitions, equity issues, and corporate restructurings.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Jean-Eudes led the Global Industrial Investment Banking business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for many years, most recently serving as its Chairman. Before that, he focused on the basic materials sector at Morgan Stanley and Lazard in Paris and London. Jean-Eudes holds an M.Sc. in International Finance from Sciences Po in Paris and an M.B.A. from INSEAD.

Greg Starkins

Greg has over 25 years of investment banking experience advising clients on mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions, as well as shareholder advisory and activist defense situations.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Greg led advisory efforts across the diversified industrials, capital goods and services, and global aerospace and defense sectors at Deutsche Bank. Before that, Greg was a member of the M&A team at Merrill Lynch, where he also coordinated the firm’s global aerospace and defense advisory practice. Greg began his career as an M&A lawyer at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. He holds a B.A. in Economics and Organizational Behavior/Management from Brown University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School.
