Ben Axelrod is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in M&A advisory. Ben has over 15 years of investment banking experience, executing public and private buyside, sellside, and special committee assignments across a broad range of industries. He has advised clients on numerous high-profile strategic M&A transactions, with an emphasis on the healthcare sector, namely the medtech, biotech, and pharmaceuticals industries.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Ben worked in the M&A Group at UBS. In 2018, he was named one of Business Insider’s “Rising Stars on Wall Street.” Ben graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Christopher Baird

Christopher Baird is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in advising clients across the Healthcare sector with a focus on life sciences, including pharmaceuticals and biotechnology companies. Chris has over 15 years of investment banking experience advising clients on a broad range of buyside and sellside transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, licensing and collaborations, capital raising solutions, as well as advising boards of directors and special committees.
Chris began his investment banking career at Leerink. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Ryan Bell

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Ryan held roles in the Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group and the Leveraged Finance Group at Citi. Ryan holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario and an M.B.A., with distinction, from the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario.
Bruno Brandao

Bruno Brandao is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he provides strategic and financial advice to Healthcare clients. Bruno has extensive investment banking experience, having originated and executed M&A and other financial transactions for corporates and financial sponsors across life science tools, services, and diagnostics.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Bruno was part of the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley. Before his investment banking career, Bruno worked as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. Bruno holds an M.Sc. in Engineering Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
James Burnes

James Burnes is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he specializes in advising clients across the Healthcare sector with a focus on biotech and life sciences. Jaime has nearly 25 years of investment banking experience, executing M&A and capital raising mandates for healthcare companies and financial sponsors.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Jaime was a Managing Director at Cantor Fitzgerald and previously Co-Head of Healthcare Investment Banking at Cowen Group. Earlier in his career, he held roles in the healthcare groups at Oppenheimer, Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers, and UBS. Jaime holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a member of the Parents Council at the University of Miami and a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Branson School in Ross, California.
Amy Chen

Amy Chen is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where she leads the Firm’s healthcare technology franchise. Amy has extensive investment banking experience with a focus on M&A and capital markets advisory in healthcare IT and services.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Amy was an investment banker at Citigroup in the Global Financial Institutions Group. In 2022, Amy was named among the “Rising Stars of Wall Street” by Business Insider. She graduated magna cum laude with an A.B. from Harvard University and holds an M.Fin. from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
Ashish Contractor

Ashish Contractor is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he advises specialty, generic pharmaceutical, and biotech clients. Ashish has nearly 30 years of experience advising clients, primarily across the pharmaceutical and biotech space, on a broad spectrum of corporate finance matters, including M&A, debt and equity financings, hostile takeovers, corporate defense, and private placements.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Ashish was a Managing Director at Greenhill & Co., leading the firm’s Life Sciences coverage. Before that, he worked in Lehman Brothers’ Private Equity and Financial Institutions Group. Ashish graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Finance and International Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University and holds an M.B.A. with Honors from Harvard Business School.
Dennis Crandall

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Dennis was a Managing Director in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley. Before that, he worked on the M&A team at UBS Investment Bank and held various advisory roles at KPMG. He started his finance career at Jacobsen Capital Management. Dennis holds a B.S. in Management from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Richard Harding

He also has significant experience originating and executing a wide variety of corporate finance transactions in the healthcare sector, including M&A, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and other equity and debt transactions.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Rich worked in the Global Healthcare Group at Citigroup. He received a B.A. in Economics and Government from Connecticut College and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan.

Before that, he was a member of Deutsche Bank’s Healthcare Investment Banking Group. He began his career in the pharmaceutical industry, holding various roles in sales, marketing, and HS&E at GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis. Arek holds a B.S. in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
David Murphy

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Swati was on the European corporate finance team at GE Capital and the European M&A team at Lehman Brothers. Swati holds a B.Com. with Joint Honors in Economics and Finance from McGill University.
François Saint-Lo

He has over 15 years of experience in M&A, with expertise in executing a broad range of transactions for healthcare and technology corporations and financial sponsors.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, François worked in the Healthcare Investment Banking Group and started his career in the Technology Investment Banking Group, both at Morgan Stanley. In 2024, François was named one of the “Rising Stars of European Finance” by Financial News. François holds a Master in Management from ESCP Business School (École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris).

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Lillian co-led healthcare technology investment banking coverage at Lazard. Before that, she held investment banking roles at Guggenheim Securities and TM Capital, and previously worked as a civil engineer before transitioning to corporate development and M&A at Skanska, a global construction and development company. Lillian holds an M.B.A. from The Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Columbia University.
