Biography

Matthew Prest is a Managing Director and Head of Europe and Asia at Moelis & Company. Matt has 30 years of experience advising companies, financial sponsors, and capital providers on capital structure solutions, including raising new debt, equity, and hybrid financing and renegotiating existing debt structures. He has played key advisory roles in some of the most high-profile, sensitive, and complex situations.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Matt was a Managing Director at Close Brothers Corporate Finance. Before that, he was a Director in the Fixed Income Team at M&G Investment Management and a Senior Manager at KPMG. Matt is a Qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a B.A. in History from the University of Warwick.
