Mark Aedy is a Managing Director and Chairman of EMEA and APAC at Moelis & Company. Mark has extensive experience building and managing investment banking franchises and played a leading role in expanding the Firm’s presence in key markets outside the U.S. He has over 45 years of investment banking experience, advising clients across multiple jurisdictions globally on a broad range of advisory services including strategic mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mark was Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and a member of the Global Corporate and Investment Banking Executive Committee. Before that, Mark held several leadership roles at Merrill Lynch including Head of Investment Banking – Europe, Middle East and Africa, Head of Metals & Mining and Head of General Industrials.

Mark holds a B.A. (Honours) from Durham University. He is a Non-Executive Director of British Land PLC and a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University. He previously served as a Senior Independent Director of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust for 7 years and as a Trustee of The HALO Trust, a global de-mining charity, for 6 years, where he remains an Ambassador.
