Matt Hughes is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company. Mr. Hughes has over 15 years of corporate finance experience with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive buy-side and sell-side experience across a range of industries, offering perspective from both sides of table in public and private transactions. Prior to joining Moelis & Company in 2013, Mr. Hughes spent six years at Morgan Stanley in the Mergers & Acquisitions group. Previously, he held various positions at Merrill Lynch and the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi in investment banking and corporate finance.

Mr. Hughes holds a B.A. in Economics from Columbia College and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Ramy Ibrahim is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he focuses on advising clients in the Gaming, Real Estate, Hospitality and Leisure industries. Mr. Ibrahim has over 17 years of investment banking and entrepreneurship experience. He joined Moelis & Company in early 2008 and has since worked in the Firm’s New York, Dubai and London offices. Mr. Ibrahim has advised clients in the U.K., Europe, Middle East, and United States on a broad range of mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital raises, and corporate and sovereign restructurings and recapitalizations.

Mr. Ibrahim holds a B.B.A. in Entrepreneurship and International Studies from The Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston and an M.B.A. from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, where he received the honorable M.A. Wright Award.

Zul Jamal is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in recapitalization and restructuring advisory. Mr. Jamal has extensive investment banking experience and focuses on in-court and out-of-court recapitalizations and restructurings for companies, creditors and acquirers across a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mr. Jamal was a Senior Vice President at Jefferies & Company where he advised clients on a wide variety of restructuring transactions including Chapter 11 bankruptcies, exchange offers, consent solicitations, lender negotiations and distressed financings. Mr. Jamal also worked at Jefferies International in London where he was responsible for international financial sponsor, restructuring and leveraged finance activities.

Mr. Jamal graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Gina Jowett is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Human Capital Management at Moelis & Company. Ms. Jowett has more than 20 years of HR experience, having served as a strategic partner to buy-side and sell-side businesses at financial institutions and law firms across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Moelis, she spent 12 years at UBS in Human Resources leadership roles across the Investment Bank and Asset Management divisions, where she drove the strategy and implementation of the firm’s human capital agenda for Banking, Global Investments and O’Connor businesses. Previously, Ms. Jowett has also held HR roles at Corrs Chambers Westgarth Lawyers and Goldman Sachs JBWere.

Stan Lai is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company in the Capital Solutions group, focusing on structured primary and secondary equity transactions for sponsor backed companies. Mr. Lai has over 27 years of investment banking and financial advisory experience, advising on a broad range of capital raising solutions for both public and private clients across all sectors. His expertise includes IPOs, follow-ons, convertibles, 144A offerings, venture capital, growth and acquisition financings, limited partnerships and royalty financings. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Mr. Lai was a Managing Director and Head of Private Placements at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. There he oversaw a leading and diversified private capital advisory platform where he originated, structured and executed a wide variety of privately negotiated equity, mezzanine, structured securities and illiquid portfolio monetization transactions. Prior to that, he worked at Merrill Lynch in the Private Funds Placement Group and at Salomon Brothers as an investment banking associate in the Natural Resources Group. Mr. Lai began his career as an analyst in Deloitte & Touche’s Restructuring Advisory Services practice.

Mr. Lai holds an A.B. from Harvard University and an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.

Vinny Lima is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in capital markets advisory and has been instrumental in building out the Firm’s data center business, which he currently oversees. He has over 26 years of investment banking experience, primarily advising on high yield transactions for leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and refinancings. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, he was a Managing Director at Christopher Street Capital, where he co-founded the company’s U.S. credit business and oversaw the capital markets group. Prior to Christopher Street Capital, he worked at Citigroup and Salomon Brothers for 17 years and was a Managing Director and Head of High Yield Syndicate.

Mr. Lima holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Rutgers College. He is a Board member of NJ Seeds.

Patrick Loftus-Hills is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company where he specializes in the metals and mining sector. Mr. Loftus-Hills has over 30 years of experience and has advised almost every major global mining company on a range of transactions, including cross-border M&A, capital raisings, and restructurings. Prior to joining Moelis & Company, he spent 11 years at UBS, most recently as the Joint Head of the Asian Industrials Group and Head of Natural Resources in Hong Kong. There he was also responsible for Mining in the Americas while based in New York, and worked on the mining team in Australia. Mr. Loftus-Hills has completed numerous significant financial advisory transactions for companies listed on all of the major stock exchanges and in all major markets around the world.

Lena Mass-Cresnik is the Chief Data Officer at Moelis & Company, where she oversees the Firm’s Data Analytics efforts. Dr. Mass-Cresnik has more than 18 years of experience creating innovative, cross-functional technology solutions — covering AI/ML, data science, investment products, FinTech, R&D, cloud, and mobility, among others — across the financial services industry. Previously, she was the Head of Technology Strategy and Technology Research & Development in the Office of the CTO at Charles Schwab. Prior to that, Dr. Mass-Cresnik was at BlackRock, where she held the roles of Global Head of Innovation in Technology and Head of Innovation in Strategic Product Management focused on institutional and retail investment products. There she established a new technology engagement strategy & model focused on emergent technologies, early stage start-up technologies, products and services, and evaluated their feasibility and commercial viability globally.

Dr. Mass-Cresnik holds a Ph.D. in Innovation & Technology Management from the University of Oxford, where she focused on complex systems and networks. She also holds a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College and an M.S. in Policy & Management from Harvard University. She is a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s FinTech Advisory Group and World Economic Forum’s Technology, Innovation, and Systemic Risk in Financial Services Steering Committee. She is also an Advisory Board Member at Atlas Crest Investment Co. and Executive Mentor at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
