Biography

Matt Knott is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he focuses on advising clients across the chemicals industry throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Matt has more than 20 years of investment banking experience advising corporate clients and private equity firms on a broad range of strategic transactions, including complex, industry-defining M&A assignments in the chemicals sector.

Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Matt spent more than two decades in Lazard’s Financial Advisory business, where he advised corporate and sponsor-backed clients across the chemicals sector. During his tenure, he completed a secondment with the U.K. Government and subsequently advised on a number of government-related assignments. Matt holds an LL.B. with Honours in Law from the University of Bristol.
