Matt Singer
Biography
Matt Singer is a Managing Director at Moelis & Company, where he advises clients across Private Capital Markets, with a focus on high-growth, disruptive technology and next-generation businesses that are founder-owned, founder-led, and venture-backed. He brings over a decade of experience partnering with and investing in innovative companies through creative capital solutions across the capital structure.
Prior to joining Moelis & Company, Matt was Head of Innovation Capital at BlackRock, where he oversaw a $1.1 billion portfolio providing growth equity financing to mid- and late-stage venture-backed private companies across the AI, enterprise software, hardware, defense, and industrial technology sectors. Before BlackRock, he led Goldman Sachs’ BDC efforts for venture-backed and founder-owned companies, originating and structuring more than $600 million of growth debt and equity investments. Earlier in his career, Matt held roles at H.I.G. Capital, Credit Suisse, and Bridgewater Associates.
Matt earned a B.S. in International Politics and Security Studies, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. with Honors from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
