Moelis & Company Announces the Appointment of Jerry Kern As a Senior Advisor
Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Jerry Kern as a Senior Advisor providing strategic advice to companies in the media and telecommunications sectors, and in Colorado where he is based.
Mr. Kern brings with him extensive experience in dealmaking across the media and telecommunications sectors, having served as the President of Kern Consulting, LLC since 1997. He has also been a Senior Advisor to Guggenheim Partners. A lawyer by training, he spent many years as the principal outside legal counsel to TCI and Liberty Media, later bringing his media sector and deal knowledge to On Command Corporation where he served as Chairman and CEO, and to TCI as Vice Chairman and a member of the board of directors. He has also worked at Nomura Securities International, and broadband and mobile consultant Enki Strategic Advisors. He is currently CEO and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Colorado Symphony Association.
