Moelis & Company Announces the Appointment of Brian Jinks as a Managing Director Providing Financial and Strategic Advice to Midstream Oil and Gas Clients

New York, March 31, 2016

Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Brian Jinks as a Managing Director providing financial and strategic advice to midstream oil and gas companies and Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs). He will join the Firm in July and will be based in Houston.

With over 16 years of investment banking experience advising companies in the midstream and MLP sector, Mr. Jinks will join Moelis & Company from Deutsche Bank where he most recently served as a Managing Director responsible for midstream and MLP coverage. His experience includes origination and execution of a full spectrum of transactions for companies in the sector, including strategic advisory, M&A, and capital raises. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he spent seven years at Lazard and Credit Suisse as a member of their respective Energy Investment Banking teams.

“We continue to expand our leading energy coverage team in Houston and around the globe,” said Jeff Raich, Co-President of Moelis & Company. “Given the current state of the commodity and capital markets, we expect to see further consolidation among MLPs and an increased number of energy companies evaluating alternatives for their midstream assets. As our clients seek advice on how to most effectively navigate this environment, they will benefit tremendously from Brian’s deep experience in the sector.”

Mr. Jinks is the third Managing Director to join Moelis & Company’s growing energy coverage business in the past 12 months. Last year, the Firm announced the appointment of David Cunningham as a senior Managing Director to cover oil and gas clients from Houston and Christopher Shaw to cover oil and gas clients globally from the Firm’s London office.
