As part of its continued international expansion, Moelis & Company, the New York-headquartered independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of five Senior Directors who bring global financial, government and economic experience to the firm and will provide senior counsel and strategic advice on industry issues particularly across international financial markets.
Under the Chairmanship of Lord Mervyn Davies, Baron Davies of Abersoch, CBE, former Chairman and CEO of Standard Chartered PLC and Minister of State for Trade, Investment and Small Business for the United Kingdom, the Senior Directors will collectively form the firm’s Global Advisory Board.
Lord Davies, who joined the firm last year and who is also Special Advisor to Ken Moelis, CEO of Moelis & Company, will be joined on the Global Advisory Board by:
Ambassador Charlene Barshefsky – Former United States Trade Representative, Executive Office of the President, U.S. Government, currently Senior International Partner at WilmerHale;
Kwon Ping Ho – Founder and Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree Group, Singapore, and Chairman of the Wah Chang Group;
Michael Marks – Founding Partner of Riverwood Capital, former Chairman and CEO of Flextronics, and former Senior Advisor at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co;
Sidney Taurel – Former Chairman and CEO of Eli Lilly and Company, and currently Senior Advisor at Capital Royalty LLP, a private equity firm investing in intellectual property in the biopharmaceutical industry; and
Hubert Védrine – Founding Partner of Hubert Védrine Conseil, and Chairman of the Institut François Mitterrand. Between 1997 and 2002 he was Minister of Foreign Affairs in Lionel Jospin’s cabinet, and between 1981 and 1995 he was Foreign Affairs Advisor, then Chief of Staff, of French President François Mitterrand.

Moelis & Company today named Landon D. Parsons a Senior Advisor in the firm’s Risk Advisory Group. He will be based in New York serving clients globally as they manage their financial assets and key position and portfolio risks. Mr. Parsons has nearly 25 years of structured credit experience as an analyst, investor and advisor. He has worked as a consultant to Moelis & Company since January 2010.
Previously, Mr. Parsons was a member of the Mortgage Special Situations Group at Goldman Sachs. He joined Goldman in 2008 after seven years at C-BASS, an affiliate of Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation and Radian, where he was a Managing Director responsible for investing and managing structured products in non-agency and subprime RMBS, CMBS and ABS. He developed and managed the $10 billion C-BASS CBO program. Mr. Parsons also served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Structured Finance for CGA Investment Management and as a Senior Business Development Manager at Financial Guaranty Insurance Company. Prior to this, he held positions at Credit Lyonnais, Capital Markets Assurance Corporation and Citicorp.

Moelis & Company today announced Stephen Aulsebrook will join the firm on 27 September as a Managing Director. He will be based in the firm’s London office and will provide senior level financial restructuring and other corporate finance advisory services to clients principally in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Mr. Yanai most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd from 2007 to 2012. Prior to Teva, he served four years as the Chief Executive Officer and President of ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd. During his nearly 15 years as a corporate executive, Mr. Yanai has successfully completed over 20 acquisitions and integrations.

Mr. Bradshaw has nearly 30 years of investment banking experience both advising upstream oil and gas companies and covering the oil and gas exploration and production industry as an equity research analyst. Mr. Bradshaw most recently served as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division of Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. (TPH) where he advised upstream oil and gas companies. Prior to TPH, Mr. Bradshaw was an advisory director at UBS where he focused primarily on U.S. independent oil and gas producers. During the first 15 years of his career, he served as an equity analyst at PaineWebber, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Deutsche Bank.

Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Daniel Motulsky, as a Managing Director providing financial and strategic advice to consumer companies. Mr. Motulsky will be based in New York.
Mr. Motulsky joins Moelis & Company with more than 25 years of investment banking experience, particularly working with large cap multinational consumer companies. Mr. Motulsky has spent the past 16 years at Lazard where he most recently served as Managing Director and Global Head of Consumer and Retail. Previously, Mr. Motulsky was a Partner at Tanner & Co., a merchant banking and mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, and worked at Salomon Brothers Inc.
“The consumer sector is experiencing increased horizontal consolidation as companies seek to achieve scale, cost savings, and global distribution capabilities. Further, consumer companies are seeking to grow by entering segments benefiting from increased consumer demand and through acquisitions in developing markets,” said Jeff Raich, Co-President of Moelis & Company. “Our clients will benefit tremendously from Dan’s deep relationships and extensive transaction and board level experience as they adapt to changes in market dynamics and consumer demand.”
Mr. Motulsky is the fourth Managing Director to join Moelis & Company’s growing consumer and retail business in the past 18 months. Last year, the Firm announced the appointment of Brian Callaci to cover consumer from Chicago and Perry Hall to cover retail from New York. In July, the Firm appointed Costas Kalisperas to establish its EMEA retail investment banking coverage from London.

Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Costas Kalisperas as a Managing Director providing financial and strategic advice to retail clients. Mr. Kalisperas will join the Firm in October and will be based in London.
Mr. Kalisperas will join Moelis & Company with over 20 years of corporate finance and advisory experience working with retail companies globally. Most recently, Mr. Kalisperas served as a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Consumer Retail Group for EMEA at Barclays. Previously, Mr. Kalisperas was a Director on the Consumer & Retail teams at both Lehman Brothers and Credit Suisse.

Moelis & Company (NYSE: MC), a leading global independent investment bank, today announced the appointment of Jan Caspar Hoffmann as a Managing Director and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions for German-Speaking Europe. Mr. Hoffmann will join the Firm’s Frankfurt office in February 2015 and work alongside Professor Dr. Herbert Henzler, Senior Advisor, to provide mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance advice to clients across the German-speaking region and the rest of Europe.
With over 15 years of investment banking experience, Mr. Hoffmann joins Moelis & Company from Société Générale in Frankfurt where he was Head of Mergers & Acquisitions for German-Speaking Europe and Co-Head of Corporate Finance for German-Speaking Europe. Prior to that, Mr. Hoffmann worked at Merrill Lynch for more than 10 years in Frankfurt and London.

Moelis & Company today announced the appointment of Anthony Rokovich as a Managing Director in real estate investment banking. Based in New York, Mr. Rokovich will provide strategic advice to real estate clients. He starts with the company on August 1st.
Mr. Rokovich joins from UBS where he was a Managing Director in the Real Estate, Lodging & Leisure Group working on strategic and financing transactions in the mall, strip mall, outlet, multifamily and healthcare sectors. He previously worked at Merrill Lynch in Real Estate Investment Banking.
