Chicago, May 05, 2010

Moelis & Company today announced Charles G. Denison has joined the firm as a Managing Director. He will be based in the firm’s Chicago office and will provide senior level coverage and advisory solutions to clients principally in the Industrials sector both in the Midwest and on a global basis. Mr. Denison has over 30 years of investment banking experience and was most recently Managing Director and Chairman of the Midwest Region for Deutsche Bank, also based in Chicago. Moelis & Company currently employs 17 professionals in its Chicago office, which was established by Managing Director Ken Viellieu in mid-2008.

Mr. Denison ran the Chicago office of Deutsche Bank and predecessor Bankers Trust since 1994, and was most recently responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment banking activities in the Midwest as well as coordinating the strategies of the private wealth and asset management businesses. From 1996 to 2008 he was also Co-Head of the Industrials Investment Banking Group. During his career Mr. Denison has advised clients on numerous transactions across mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and debt and equity financings.

“Charlie brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge and expertise as well as deep senior level relationships with corporations and financial sponsors,” said Ken Moelis, Chief Executive Officer of Moelis & Company. “As CEOs and Boards are beginning to focus on relative value and cutting costs, we are predicting increased activity in the M&A market. Adding an experienced banker like Charlie will greatly enhance our ability to counsel our clients and build on the momentum that our Chicago team has already achieved in the Midwest.”

“We are very pleased to welcome Charlie to our team in Chicago and look forward to working with him as we continue to build a first class advisory business in the Midwest,” added Mr. Viellieu.

Mr. Denison joined Bankers Trust in 1987 from Harris Bank. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Lyric Opera of Chicago since 1995 and of Chicago Youth Centers since 1990. He was a member of The Chicago Children’s Museum Board of Directors from 1990 until 1998.
