Professor Dr. Herbert Henzler was Chairman of the Advisory Board of Credit Suisse Germany and Senior Advisor to the Chairman of Credit Suisse Group from 2002 – 2012. He is currently director emeritus at McKinsey and has been a member of the office of the Managing Director of McKinsey since 1994. Prof. Dr. Henzler joined McKinsey in 1970, was promoted to principal in 1975 and to director in 1978. He also served as Chairman of McKinsey Germany for 14 years and as Chairman of McKinsey Europe for three years.
Prof. Dr. Henzler has been a lecturer in International Management at the University of Munich for 25 years, an honorary professor of Strategy and Organization and member of the faculty of business administration since 1992. He is also a visiting professor of Skolkovo Moscow Business School. Prof. Dr. Henzler also chaired the Wissenschaftlich-Technischen Beirat from 2004 – 2009 and served as chairman of the Zukunftsrat (Counsel on the future of society) of the Bavarian Government from 2009 – 2012.
Prof. Dr. Henzler currently serves on the advisory boards of Deutsche Bahn, New Silk Route and FC Bayern München. Previously he served on the advisory boards of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hochtief, Siemag and Mainstream Renewable.
