John K. Collins to Join Moelis & Company as Managing Director in General Industrials

New York, April 13, 2010: Moelis & Company today announced John K. Collins will join the firm as a Managing Director in General Industrials. Mr. Collins has almost 20 years of investment banking experience and will focus on providing advisory services to companies in the metals and mining, paper, packaging and chemicals sectors. He will join the firm in July and will be based at Moelis & Company's headquarters in New York.
Mr. Collins will join the firm from Morgan Stanley, where he was most recently a Managing Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group. In his role, he advised on many large and complex transactions for clients in the metals and mining, paper, packaging and chemicals sectors. Mr. Collins worked at Morgan Stanley for the full span of his career and previously also worked in the firm's Real Estate Group in London and New York.
Moelis & Company currently has seven Managing Directors covering general industrials, providing senior level advisory services in the aerospace and defense, automotive, building products, capital goods, chemicals, homebuilding, metals and mining and transportation sectors.
